It’s impossible to catch every new release that comes out each Friday. Luckily, we’re here to help. Here are 4 new songs from artists — emerging and established — to soundtrack your weekend.
Angelo Mota — “Drugs Don’t Work”
New Jersey rapper/producer Angelo Mota has been constructing a solid collection of meaningful songs. His second release of the year ‘Drugs Don’t Work,’ lets his listeners know there’s something bigger in the works. With four songs out this year already, It’s evident Angelo Mota is not slowing down anytime soon.
Highway — “Cash Talk (No Talkin)”
Since releasing his 2020 EP ‘Count Fast Untitled,’ Seattle rapper Highway’s insane career trajectory has been impressive. With each new release, he continues to make huge waves outside of the Pacific Northwest, and his latest single ‘Cash Talk (No Talkin),’ is another strong addition to his ever-growing catalogue.
Papa Mbye — “Passenger”
Papa Mbye has emerged time and time again as an example of a rising artist worth keeping an eye on. The North Minneapolis rapper, singer, and producer first caught my attention with the release of his ‘MANG FI’ EP,’ and now his new single ‘Passenger,’ can be considered his best release yet. Shifting between acoustic and electric elements that enhance the multilayered textures running through the track, this one will definitely be on repeat for days to come.
Pote Baby — “DOOF”
Savannah, GA artist Pote Baby is on FIRE, and there’s no better time to hop on the hype train than now. With a string of dope releases just this year alone, his new heater comes in the form of ‘DOOF,’ a 3-track EP that acts as a starter pack for those currently unfamiliar.
