    8 New Songs You’ve Gotta Check Out This Week

    Each week, SL staff rounds up the songs we can’t get enough of and believe others should definitely check out… I think they call it “puttin’ you on.” With that being said, here they are, in no particular order.

    Atlanta mainstay Langston Bleu delivers his latest record ‘Slow Down.’ With a unique sound that showcases his artistry perfectly, every time Langston comes back around, he gets better and better. ‘Slow Down‘ is proof of his continued development as an artist.

    Queens, NY-based Hadji Gaviota has quickly become a SL favorite. His latest offering ‘Catch These Hands’ falls in line with a slew of releases that capture his sound and style nicely. The new single is also paired with a quirky video that alludes to his personality.

    Nashville Rapper Ron Obasi is on a hot streak. His new project ‘Sun Tapes‘ sees him in a new light and sound more definitive than ever, effortlessly getting bars off. Check out ‘Eastside Marauders‘ featuring Brian Brown and Chuck Indigo down below.

    Houston, TX-based Dende drops off his latest single ‘MindYourManners.’ Featuring Nate Joël and Unusual Demont, the record experiences all artists effortlessly float through this R&B gem to create a wonderfully rich and warm listen from beginning to end.

    Merlaku Ra, a Los Angeles resident by way of South Carolina delivers his debut project ‘Wolves.’ The 10-song body of work consists of dark and eerie production throughout, one in which complements his monotoned vocals and blends with Merlaku’s consistent flow and delivery.     33° 84’s versatility and creativity now shines through with the much-anticipated release of her new project ‘Vise Versa.’ At 13-songs in length, the bite-size records create a multidimensional sound, aligning with alternative, and new age hip hop. Check out ‘Too Crazy‘ down below.

    DMV’s rising talent Sækyi has been one to watch over the course of the year. Dropping at a very consistent rate, his latest release ‘Free Fall‘ follows a slew of releases from the upstart.
