Each week, SL team rounds up the songs we can’t get enough of and believe others should definitely check out. With that being said, here they are, in no particular order.
1. Virginia native Kiree 3600 enters the new year head-on with his breakout mixtape titled Blocstarr. Throughout the entire project, Kiree 3600 stays true to his unorthodox style of rap as his vocals flow seamlessly with the unique production. Check out the video for Dun, Dun.
2. Arizona native Tullis delivers the official video to his latest release Matinee. With a unique melodic rap style, Tullis is also gearing up to release a 5-song project to kick-off the new year. Peep the new video down below.
3. Student 1‘s latest release Race is a bouncy record that alludes to his artistry nicely. At a little over 2-minutes in streaming length, Student 1 lays down a captivating, melodic hook right before delivering one of his snappy verses.
4. Broward County, Florida artist Blvck Svm comes through with Moses, a lyrical offering that allows him to ease into rap, while his great voice flows over this slick instrumental beautifully.
5. Hudi’s new EP TSAR is a 5-song offering that manages to blend different genres together nicely. Throughout the EP, Hudi’s smooth vocals are on full display over various instrumentals, showcasing his range as an artist. Check out Golden down below.
6. Nigerian-born, LA-based Igwe Aka is a star in the making. His new video Not The Hills brings a much-needed refreshing sound. At its brief length of a little under 2-minutes, Aka’s sample-sized serving will have you digging through his discography searching for more bangers.
7. Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter Moses Mosima premiered his new single Different with us last week. His smooth rhymes and vocals drape over the infectious Carter Fox production nicely.
8. Brooklyn, NY-based singer-songwriter Alicia Drayton‘s shares the official video for her single Perfect Timing. The smooth track showcases Drayton’s mellifluous vocals in a way that displays her sound beautifully. Check out the video down below.
