Atlanta-based AMG (Abstract Media Group) artist Ben Reilly writes sincere reflections on the world around him, and his new project ‘Freelance‘ is the perfect example of this. Serving as an attention-grabbing introduction to his sound, the 28-minute offering incorporates alternative hip-hop and R&B elements, creating a sound that will appeal to a broad audience. At 13-songs in length, the project blends multiple styles alluding to various aspects of Reilly’s artistic prowess. Throughout the project, Reilly’s show-stealing vocals and lyrical performance take center stage.

Ben Reilly said on the new release, “Freelance stemmed from some of my experiences within the past few years. I pulled a lot from how I felt regarding my past relationship, my current friendships, and my standing in life itself.”
The project starts with ‘No Strings: Don’t Hold Back,’ a lyrical intro that sets the tone for the rest of the project. Reilly’s performance throughout the project remains consistently accurate, demonstrating a style that sounds polished, while at the same time coming off as effortless as he delivers on the various production in a way that makes for a cohesive listen. The project experiences its slower moments on tracks like ‘Finsta,’ and ‘Brown Bird’ before closing out with ‘No Strings: The Cardinal.’ Reilly attributes a lot of his creativity derived from the Red Cardinal bird itself. The sighting of this bird usually means something good is on the horizon, and it urges you to follow your passion and dreams, and that’s exactly what Reilly did. “The Red Cardinal birds helped me get creative while working on this project,” he said to us. “I saw them so much I started to question what it meant and started to research the shit. Eventually, I started to realize what I found was matching how I felt and it made me a lot more observant inside and outside of myself, honestly,” he added.

Ben Reilly continues to pave a path for himself without adhering to industry trends. ‘Freelance’ demonstrates a uniqueness in Reilly that demands your full attention and longevity that will certainly make him a star.
