Baltimore’s Butch Dawson is an artist I have been a fan of for a while. His consistency and the rate at which he drops new music off is something to be impressed with. With a slew of singles and videos under his belt, in addition to a collab with Baltimore-based skate brand Carpet Company, the budding artist keeps his foot on the gas as he drops off his Asylum Records debut EP Stardust.
Consisting of previously released cuts like Hummer and Get Money, the 7-song EP is a warm welcome to his infectious style of rapping and impeccable artistry as a whole. Playing to his strengths, Dawson’s witty wordplay and poignant lyrics will have you running this one back a few times. Throughout the 16 minute offering, Dawson shows he is ready to step into the spotlight, and this EP is only the beginning.
