FreshDuzIt keeps proving himself to be one of the most exciting and entertaining rappers of the current wave of rap with this new project which advances his hardcore trap sound even more with great production that feels a lot more abstract than what we’ve usually seen from him, and a charisma and flow that keeps us engaged throughout the whole thing.
Off the Wop is more of a song than a whole album as every track somewhat fades into each other and while the condensed length might come off as album worthy to some people. The production on here is top notch and really creates this atmosphere where FreshDuzIt’s aggressive vocals can work well over it. The features absolutely kill this project with ThighPad Shawty, Fatty StillKountin, Stikks StillKountin, Lil Mani, Duke Deuce and PaperRouteWoo all providing some intense and great verses throughout the album. Then there is FreshDuzIt himself and he kills it too with intense, raw and aggressive energy. The lyrics for the most part are pretty consistent as with most FreshDuzIt projects. All of this combined, Off the Wop is a fun listen with a few tracks to take away from it. Stream the new album down below.
