Low.bō Showcases His Range in New Record “Impala”

The end of a relationship can either bring out the best in us or leave us wallowing, listening to slow jams. Baltimore-raised, Jersey-based artist Low.bō is a prime example of how heartbreak can drive us to become the best version of ourselves. Starting his music journey at just 4 years old, his experiences in the church choir laid the foundation for honing his vocal abilities.

With his 10-track project Impala, Low.bō offers a blend of smooth vocals fused with captivating melodies and guitar elements. He explained that Impala had been a year in the making, inspired by pivotal personal moments that shaped its creation.

Reflecting on how the project came together, Low.bō shared that after the end of a previous relationship, he had two choices: dwell in sadness or channel the emotions into creativity. Opting for the latter, he described the whirlwind of emotions during the making of Impala, which allowed him to grow both as a person and an artist. Speaking on the process, Low.bō said, “I had just gotten out of my previous relationship. I was in a place of either sitting in my sadness or using that energy to create something new. I started teaching myself how to produce, making bass lines, and eventually learning more than just two chords. Ten months later, Impala was made.”

Low.bō seamlessly weaves his personal experiences throughout the 10-track offering. Showcasing the struggles of healing and growth, each track carries emotional depth.

Impala encourages listeners to embrace the idea of growth through creation. The process may seem uncertain, but Low.bō’s Impala is a testament that pushing forward can lead to something meaningful.
