Burgeoning Corpus Christi artist MilesPerHour arrives with his brand-new full-length project “Hate How I Think.” Touching on things the everyday person could find something to resonate with, the 10-track atmospheric record delivers a raw and imperfect portrait while offering a captivating, immersive sonic journey. Each song on the album delves deep into personal introspections, blending heartfelt lyrics with innovative production.
“This project is probably my most experimental and sonically advanced yet,” shares MilesPerHour. “I tried to sing more and use production that challenged my penmanship and versatility. Even on the rapping joints, this album just embodies who I am entering the ‘Q2’ of my life.”

“Back Again” is a blissfully smooth track that showcases MilesPerHour’s satin-soft vocals. The lyrics reflect romance and fond memories, and the sonics make it the perfect soundtrack for a sunny afternoon in paradise. Keeping with these warm, idyllic tones, “Into Sumn,” “U2B,” and “Be Mine” continue to display MilesPerHour’s vocal range with lilting vocals that feel like a velvet hallucination.
Released during Men’s Health Month, MilesPerHour’s album explores self-care and empowerment with lyrics that resonate deeply. As MilesPerHour puts it, “There are times when men go through things that they don’t speak on because we feel like nobody cares to help.” The album addresses these silent struggles and inspires personal growth and well-being.
The closer and album title track, “Hate How I Think,” proves there’s no shying away from the hard truth. MilesPerHour pivots back to his raw lyrical approach over hard-hitting 808s, rapping, “Sometimes I hate how I think I swear I’m on the brink of releasing these demons inside.”
“Hate How I Think” is packed with rich textures and raw emotion, showcasing a new dimension of MilesPerHour’s artistry. As you dive into the album, you’ll experience a deeper connection with the artist and witness the evolution of his sound.
