It’s been awhile since we’ve heard from Boston’s own Gio Dee. Aside from an appearance on Bootleg Kev’s artist and newcomer, BrownboiMaj’s, debut album, it’s been over a year since we’ve had any new content.
Today he returns with, “Colors,” produced by Virginia’s WorldWideTak. Gio’s versatility is on display with this record as he goes bar for bar on each verse and gives us a nice melodic hook. Dee reflects on his relationships and how his growth as an artist has affected them: “Ask me for a favor, then I tell you no, true colors gon’ show yea, true colors gon’ show…”
The video is directed and shot by fellow Boston native, Curwyn Henry, also known as LoneStar. If this record is any sign of what’s to come, it’s safe to say like it’s going to be a good summer for Gio. Check out the new video down below.
