Throughout the record, YTK often favors string heavy production in way that allows him to utilize harps to express the heaviness in his heart. His sounds and consequently his strengths are simply compacted into one record. As impressive as Gillian introspection is, it sure has us looking forward to the EP in its entirety.
If for no other reason than the fact that you can actually understand him when he rhymes, YTK is an artist in the truest sense of the word. Time and time again, he’s shown that he’s not afraid to experiment with something different, and the result is solid and, in a way, mind-expanding.
