After a relatively quiet 2020 that only saw one project, Popper, Y. Samuel has already set a heavy pace in 2021. He released three EP’s Y., Dot, Samuel, and a joint EP YdotRicky 2 already this year, and now he’s gearing up for a full-length album titled YDOTSAMUEL. Throughout each of these releases so far, Y. Samuel has taken the listener through the cluster of emotions we’ve all felt dealing with the pandemic, anxiety, and self-doubt.
His latest release comes in the form of ‘Blue Ferrari,’ the first video and single from the upcoming album. Building on the concept of becoming comfortable and confident with the work you’re putting out, Y. Samuel proves he has his sights set on something bigger. In addition to the single, Y. Samuel also delivers the Keaton Jones-directed visuals that bring another element to the song, highlighting both sides of his journey thus far. Y. Samuel’s art is a manifestation of his complex, multidimensional self. In an age where many force artists into a box, Y. Samuel provides a one-of-a-kind experience in every track he drops.
